*** 17.02.2017 – BLIV FRIVILLIG TIL PRE-WORLDS 2017 + VM 2018 ...
Aarhus indbyder til sejlsport i verdensklasse og kæmpefest på havnen, når byen i august 2018 er vært for det store VM for alle ti olympiske klasser. Forberedelserne er i fuld gang – og med halvandet år til stævnestart bliver der nu taget hul på rekrutteringen af frivillige VM-hjælpere. – Du kan nu melde dig som én af de 800 frivillige, der bliver brug for i forbindelse med VM 2018. – Læs mere her .


*** 17.12.2016 – DID YOU RECEIVE AN E-MAIL FROM THE DROPBOX TEAM ?
Today I found a scaring mail from the Dropbox team, and you have probably found the same in your mailbox. If the public links will be transferred to private links, you will in the future find above screen message when you click the links on our site or in our many files informing about the project.

As there are today thousands of public links in thousands of files it will not be realistic to change all links within the nextcoming years. In the above mentioned mail this new “feature” is specified as an “improvement”, but it is clear, that “the Dropbox team” have no feeling of how Dropbox is used by its users, and especially the consequenses of this of descision. – It will become a disaster, and we hope that you will send your protest via Forum or send an e-mail, and that this will enable us to change the descision. – If you receive a response from Dropbox please send us info, which will be kept confidential …




*** 02.09.2016 – THE WINNER OF DRAGON GOLD CUP 2016 ...
is SUI 311 Sophie Racing with Hugo Stenbeck, Martin Westerdahl and Bernardo Freitas. – After 2 races yesterday and 2 additional today The Hamlet Dragon Gold Cup 2016 was successfully completed, and here you find the result list.


*** 31.08.2016 – NO RACES COMPLETED TODAY...

The youngest crew member HRH Prince Christian had skipped the school for one day and joined his father HRH Crown Prince Frederik , Anders Myralf and Jesper Riise on board DEN 414 Nanoq. – During the day the wind was too weak and the races were cancelled for today. – Reaching the harbour of Hornbæk arround 16:00 the wind speed increased and it was decided to give it one more try. After a while this last race was as well cancelled, and all returned and prepared for the reception on board The Royal Yacht Dannebrog. – Two races are planned for tomorrow … 


*** 29.08.2016 – TODAY'S RACE WAS CANCELLED ...
due to strog wind, and therefore 2 races are planned for tomorrow. Skippers meeting at 08:00, and the first warning signal is planned to be at 10:00 …


*** 28.08.2016 – HAMLET DRAGON GOLD CUP 2016 ...
started today, and here you find the result of the 1st race. – The 2nd race tomorrow is planned to start at 10:00 (earlier than expected) due to the wheather forecast …




*** 19.08.2016 – LATE START AND ONLY ONE RACE ...
Due to no wind in the morning, todays races were postponed, and when wind appeared there were only space for one race for 8 mR and 12-metres. - There were sufficient time to prepare for the race, when all arrived after the race, all went to pick up a pier bier … – The races for 5,5 metres in the Gold Cup were postponed until tomorrow due to the wind.

*** 18.08.2016 – FIRST DAY FOR THE 12-METRES ...
To day became a great day – even if the wheater was not sunny – and the start was postponed due to too strong wind (25 knots), but at 13:30 the start with the 12-metres was executed. Shortly after the 8 mR were started, and with 3 rounds (2 rounds for the 2 gaff riggs), and the first races were well done. – A second race for the 12-metres was as well executed.
*** 17.08.2016 – THE 8mR CLASS HAD THE TWO FIRST RACES ...
and with 8/10 metres per second wind and sunny whether, it was an ideal day for the 16 partipating yachtsincluding one with the original gaff rig.Both races were won by NOR 38 WANDA, and you can watch this video from World Cup Cowes 2012. – You here find a print friendly list of the participating yachts, and if you click on the boats name you can as well find some more info …
*** 16.08.2016 – THE PRACTICE RACE FOR THE 5,5 mR & 8mR-CLASS ...
was executed this afternoon in sunshine and fair wind. – At 19:00 all joined the opening ceremony with the opening speech from the commodore of KDY Lars Ive, and afterwards all enjoyed drinks and a light meal.


*** 14.08.2016 – MANY PARTICIPANTS FOR THE WESSEL & VETT CUP ...
... have arrived to Skovshoved, and the measurement of the yachts has begun. – Here is 8 mR "ANITRA" under close investigation. The yacht was renovated by Walsted in 2005 and is a very pretty piece.
*** 12.08.2016 – 2016-CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE METRE-CLASSES ...
Within a few days the 5,5 – 8 and 12 metres will challenge during the 150 years KDY-Anniversary and the Wessel & Vett Cup – August 16th – 26th, and you can enjoy the historic yachts in Skovshoved Harbour and on the water. – Here you find a print friendly list of the participating yachts, and if you click on the boats name you can as well find some more info … 
*** 27.07.2016 – GREAT INTEREST FOR THE KDY-JUNIORBOAT …
Several participants of the ORC WORLDS COPENHAGEN 2016 showed an interest in our beloved KDY-Juniorboat, and some of the Canadian team members of ”Vigna” (A-003) showed a significant interest and will hopefully help us in reaching the current owners of the mahogany Juniorboats in Canada … – J-242 is today based in Skovshoved and is a famous example of this boat tyype, as it in 1961 was donated to Hellerup Sejlklub, based on the Olympic Silver Medal won by the Flying Dutchman team Hans Fogh and Ole Gunnar Petersen in the Napoli Bay in 1960. – The boat was built by Aage Walsted and the name became ”Napoli” and was a training boat for about 10 years in Hellerup. – In the search of the american and canadian mahogany Juniorboats we publish the articles from the 50-ties and you can as well read most of these in English. – The mahogany Juniorboats were promoted at exhibitions in both Toronto and San Fransisco, and there were great interest for the Danish quality boats. – Please inform if you have knowledge of the boats, and you can find information in our advertisment.

*** 24.07.2016 – TIME FOR CLEAN UP ...
After more than a week, where we have all been busy serving our visiting sailors, we gather today to bring the hole harbour area back to the normal clean standard. Even if it became very late last night, the core crew of volunteers meet at 09:00 and after 6 hours you can see no traces that indicate, that 1.500 sailors and their families and friends had been invading the area. – It is time to say good bye and thank you to our friends from Egå Sejlklub and from KDY, who did a great job during this regatta, and we are all hoping to meet again soon – maybe to Wessel & Vett Cup – August 16th – 26th

*** 23.07.2016 – TP 52 "FRECCIA ROSSA" WAS ONCE AGAIN UNBEATABLE ...
The new Class A ORC World Champions are Vadim Yakimenko and his French-Russian team of Guillaume Berenger, Frederic Brousse, Benjamin Enon, Francois Doguet, Jean-Philippe Gallois, Sergei Mamotov, Mikael Mergui, Christian Ponthieu, Cedric Pouligny, Mikhail Semenov, Augustin Vendenhove, Francois Verdier and Amil Yudaev. – Read more on http://www.orc.org/.

*** 23.07.2016 – AFTER BEING PATIENT FOR SOME HOURS ...
the wind suddenly showed up, and we succeeded to perform 1 race for all classes, so everyone were happy. After the race the first prepared for the trip back home, and the boat were taken out of the water and put on trailers. – Winner ceremony was scheduled to 19:00, and you can read more here. – Afterwards dinner was served, and a band played in the open air race village, where everyone enjoyed … 


*** 22.07.2016 – AFTER PIER BIER AND DINNER IT WAS TIME FOR JAZZ ...
All sailors were looking forward for a pier bier, and even if the 4 planned “pier bier days” already has been reached, all got an extra portion of ”GRØN TUBORG” from our sponsor Elvstøm Sails. – After relaxing and dinner it was time for JAZZ in the race village, and dancing was introduced by hard core volunteers and a few “non-exhausted” sailors.


*** 22.07.2016 – WIND WAS MISSING ALL DAY AND ALL SAILORS FOLLOWED THE SIGNAL ...
Unfortunately the weather forecast became as predicted, and even if all sailors and all others were hoping all day for more wind, it ended up with cancelled races. – It became the hottest “summer day” until now, so most people will for sure have been happy, but for sailors it became an off-day. – Even if we are all hoping for better conditions, it seems that the last planned race day will be like today …


*** 21.07.2016 – TIME FOR TODAY'S WINNER CEREMONY …
After unpredictable weather conditions during the last days of the ORC WORLDS COPENHAGEN 2016, the plan for today ended up with finished races. The winner ceremony took place in the race village, and a planned schedule for tomorrow was as well introduced. We are requesting some more wind !


*** 20.07.2016 – THE VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN …
and they are all happy to support more than 1.300 participating sailors from early in the morning until late in night. – Baadmagasinet brings today this live interview with two of the volunteers supporting the event. – Their hope is, that all sailors are aware of their support and that all participants will remember to bring back their support, when time is ready for that to new and young sailors …

As some you have noticed, that we during these days have been taking some private photos ahead of starts and during the races, we have been asked whether these photos could be shared with the participating sailors. – As it is an important and basic philosophy in the JUNIORBAADSREGISTERET (The Juniorboat Register) to share as much information as possible “free of charge”, it is obvious, that the photos during this great event shall be shared with all participants, who shows an interest. – By sending an e-mail to: juniorbaads.registeret(et)gmail.com you will receive an invitation to join a shared folder, and we hope that you will enjoy some exiting moments of concentration during your, your team and competitor's race, and that this will become a memory of this event. – It's a free of charge service, so you can exit as soon as you have downloaded the photos if you like. – OBS: Please observe that we accept NO claims if the photo is NOT exactly as you would have liked it, so don't use time for claiming. – If you want to support us, you can request an invitation to an e-mail account who are currently not using Dropbox, and upon acceptance of our invitation both accounts receive additional memory. *** 18.07.2016 – DANISH TV-2 COVER THE EVENT IN THE NEWS …
and the local TV-2 LORRY brings as well interviews with Mads Ehrhardt, Event Organizer – KDY and Steen Christensen, Skipper on “Happy Hour” – C-123. – This is going to be the biggest Danish regatta ever, so we hope that all participants will enjoy and be satisfied.


*** 18.07.2016 – ALL BOATS ARE READY TO LEAVE FOR THE 1st RACE …
The majority of the boats have arrived to Skovshoved Harbour, and the local sailors have moved their boats to other ports to make it possible to allocate sufficient space to all guests. – All are now awaiting today’s first races …

Practice races are planned for tomorrow, and we hope that you enjoyed the ceremony. – The Danish medias are covering and following the event quite intensive – and rest assured, that the results that you are reaching during the races, will reach a great number of interested followers …

*** 16.07.2016 – JOIN THE TRACKING OF THE RACES …
and you will enjoy benefiting after your races. – As a sailor you always wonder, what went wrong during the race, and you are asking yourself a lot of questions, trying to improve for your next races. – Why did your competitors decide for another route, and why were you not aware of streams and wind directions ? – Too many questions are showing up, so maybe this “free-ware” can be of help – but please rest assured – we get no support or commission from the provider – until now at least !

*** 15.07.2016 – ORC WORLDS COPENHAGEN STARTS UP …
This great event with more than 130 boats will begin with registration and measurement, and Sunday July 17th is planned for practice race. – Monday July 18th the races will start up, and we hope that the weather will be supportive with sufficient wind, so the races will be executed as planned. – We will support the event as volunteers, and we are looking forward to meet sailors from most of Europe …


*** 08.07.2016 THE GREATEST SAILING EVENT IN DENMARK IS SHOWING UP …
The greatest event inside sailing ORC WORLDS COPENHAGEN 2016 is very soon showing up in Denmark, and we are ready to meet the challenges. – Around 150 vessels are expected and with an average of 10 on board of each boat 1.500 sailors are expected as participants. – You are able to follow the activities on this site.
